We are excited to invite you to our next Continuous Professional Development (CPD) event, Discussions with Women in Pharmacy, with our guest speaker Marialice S. Bennett, RPh, FAPhA.  This event will take place will take place Wednesday, November 19th, from 5-6pm EST

Marialice is a Professor Emerita of Pharmacy Practice and Science and former Residency Director for The Ambulatory and Community Care Residency Programs at the Ohio State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy.  She served as a co-founder and pharmacy director of University Health Connection, an innovative interprofessional health care clinic for faculty and staff of the university, from 1999 to 2011.  She earned her BS degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1969.

Professor Bennett is recognized as a practice innovator and an agent of change.  She was among the first clinical pharmacists to practice at the OSU Medical Center.  Her practice team’s contribution to the development of both the OSU College of Pharmacy Clinical Partners and the OSU University Health Connection resulted in 2005 and 2006 ASHP Best Practice Awards. Over the past 30 years she has contributed to the advancement of community residencies nationally and leaves a legacy of cutting edge PGY1 and PGY2 programs at OSU. During her career, she has received many local, state, and national awards for her contributions to practice, practice-based research, contributions to pharmacy, service to the community, and mentorship and precepting of students and residents. In 2021, she received the prestigious APhA Remington Honor Medal - the highest award in the profession of pharmacy.  

Her service includes 2011-12 APhA President; 2007-2009 President of APhA-Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management and member of the APhA Board of Trustees; and member of numerous task forces, panels, and commissions related to MTM, practice innovation, and community residencies. Outside of pharmacy, Marialice is an active member and leader in her church community and is involved in local community service groups including NCS sports, Cub Scouts, numerous diabetes associations, and Cum Christo. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons and their families.
