OSHP Divisions

Organizational Affairs Division

This division is responsible for all the issues of a procedural nature that come before OSHP. It also ensures that our governing documents, such as the Constitution and Bylaws, are current and adaptable for future growth and changes.

Professional Affairs Division

This division is responsible for the development and improvement of the professional practice of pharmacy. Solicitation of nominations and selections of award recipients is an important function of the division, as it gives OSHP an opportunity to recognize those who are providing the highest level of service to patients and the profession.

Legal Affairs Division

This division is responsible for tracking, monitoring and lobbying for/against legislation that impacts pharmacy practice in Ohio and beyond. This is accomplished by interacting with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, lobbyists, professional organizations and members of the Ohio legislature. This division works to inform the OSHP membership of legislation that may concern them and develop advocacy resources for our membership to utilize. Legal Affairs also organizes OSHP's organizational responses/testimony to congress when such testimony is necessary. If you have questions about the Legal Affairs Division, please contact legal@ohioshp.org

Educational Affairs Division

This division is responsible for the continuing education of our members. The group accomplishes this task by organizing and promoting the Annual Meeting that showcases topics designed for pharmacists practicing in a variety of settings.

Membership, Marketing & Media Division

This division is responsible for recruitment and retention of members, promotion of OSHP, and increase presence and visibility through a variety of media platforms.  The group continually assesses membership, marketing, and media strategies to promote OSHP to students, new practitioners, current members, and non-members.

Technician Division

This division is responsible for advising the other divisions regarding the needs of OSHP pharmacy technician members, contributing to the development and improvement of the professional practice of pharmacy in health systems, and contributing to the advancement of pharmacy technician roles in health-system pharmacy. All pharmacy technician members are automatically included on this division. Members may elect to take part in other divisions to represent the interests of pharmacy technicians.

About the organization
